Welcome to Sojourner House...
a nonprofit domestic violence agency serving northern Rhode Island since 1976.
Our mission is to provide culturally sensitive support, advocacy, and safety for victims of domestic abuse.
All our services are free, and include:
24-hour crisis helplines offering callers confidential advocacy, information,
   referrals, and emotional support. Call 401-658-4334 or 401-765-3232.

• A confidential emergency shelter in northern Rhode Island for women and
   their children up to age 18 escaping domestic violence.

• Court advocates for persons seeking temporary restraining orders at Family
   and District Court in the Garrahy Judicial Complex, serving Providence and
   Bristol Counties.

Transitional housing, bridging the gap between shelter and independent living.

• An Advocacy & Resource Center in the Smith Hill neighborhood of
   Providence, providing walk-in counseling, information and referrals, support
   groups,community education and outreach, and advocacy.
